It’s the way we’ve always described ourselves
“A digital agency based in Leeds, creating amazing websites, ecommerce sites and digital marketing campaigns, using Umbraco and Kentico as our CMS platforms of choice”.
But today, with hybrid and remote working, more collaborative tools (Figma, Miro, Teams, Zoom, Trello…), greater flexibility and a growing team of talented experts, we not only working in Leeds, with Leeds-based clients anymore which is amazing, but if that’s the case, are we still really a Leeds Digital Agency?
In short yes, we’ll always be a Leeds digital agency, but it’s not all we are.
The Pixel story so far
It all started in a quiet corner of Horsforth in Leeds, so you could say, our agency is Leeds born and bred. We have three directors that have been in the business since those early days. We moved to our first “proper office” at The Tannery in Leeds and started building out the team.
Development was our focus then, so it’s no surprise, that growing our team of developers was a priority. Back then we were working on digital projects for businesses like NDL (who are still a client today) our first hospice, Wakefield (again, still a client today), and our first PLC, Albemarle & Bond.
With a growing development team, it became clear we needed a project manager to help keep things on track, a few more designers to help keep pace with their capacity to code and the start of a digital marketing team to look after things post go live, and bring data, insights and research into the heart of what we do.
Explore, Refine, Design, Develop, Grow
Our approach was established and then refined, and this led to growth not just within our team in Leeds, but also the number of clients and the scale of those clients. We welcomed brands like Harrods Bank, Masthaven, Barrett Steel, Strata, Space Homes, Swift Direct Blinds, Steeper Group, Bayfield Opticians, the list goes on, and the spread from working solely in Leeds to further afield, started the grow.
Today, we’re still based in Leeds. We still prioritise technical excellence. We still build on Umbraco and Kentico and we still push the boundaries to create amazing things online. The difference is, were doing all of this with our biggest team to date, a brand-new office to match and clients from around the world.
Recent digital projects
Some of those early clients are happily still with us, but a few new names have joined the list.
